Sign Language Club is a fun way to learn the basics of American Sign
Language for free. There are two separate clubs; each is one hour per
week. The two different clubs learn different sets of vocabulary and
work on basic grammar skills. Participants may attend either club or
both. All skill levels from beginning (no previous knowledge) to more
advanced are welcome. Those who participate in two-thirds of either of
the sessions receive a certificate of participation that is a nice
addition to a job portfolio.
Sign Language Clubs begin: Tuesdays starting Sept. 10 from 3-4 p.m. in NE 222 AND/OR Thursdays starting Sept. 12 from 12:10-1:10 p.m. in NE 205.
The clubs use the Bravo Family video series as the basic curriculum, as well as supplemental materials (and music!). Any skill level is welcome for either day. You may come either day or both. Please consider joining. It's lots of fun and is a useful skill.
