The campaign is an urgent call to reduce Wisconsin's prison population (non-violent offenders) by half - to 11,000 - by the end of the year 2015. The presentation will document current incarceration statistics in WI, demonstrating racial disparities and the expensive failure of the criminal justice system in terms of money, wasted lives and opportunities, damaged communities and failure to achieve goals of public safety or rehabilitation.
