"U.S. History since 1877: From Our Backyard Beyond"
The idea here is to revise H202 significantly so that when I teach about labor strikes in the late 19th century, I discuss the Oshkosh woodworkers strike; when I teach the New Deal, I discuss the New Deal's impact on Winnebago County; when I instruct students about progressivism I teach Wisconsin progressivism, etc.
Because I will ask students to consider how Americans understood themselves as citizens of a nation, a state and a local community, I will target the following SQ:
How do people understand and engage in community life?
