***  Press Release  ***

To all who confirmed their interest in playing the softball game vs. Economic Majors:  The game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m.  The diamonds are located in the city block bounded by Jackson on the east, Prospect on the south, Wisconsin on the west and New York on the north.  Rain-out date is Tuesday, May 6 -- same time, same place.

We will play by general A.S.A. rules with minor exceptions.  No balls and strikes will be called but hitters are encouraged to hack away and put the ball into play.

We will use a 12" standard softball ... so bring your gloves and any bats you might have.  Doug Swanson has agreed to pick up bases from Intramural Office.  Feel free to show up early (c. 1:00 p.m.) if you want to practice.

Contact me if you have any questions.  In closing, let me remind you of what Spartan mothers are said to have told their warrior sons:  "Come home with your shield (victorious) or on it."
