The US Military has scholarship programs that involve military service in return for significant financial support for your professional healthcare education.

I have videotapes and CD ROMS available in my office Halsey 249 that present the details of these opportunities, plus below you'll find contact information from those who run the programs.

Excerpt from provided materials:
Are you planning to go to Dental, Medical, or Optometry school? If so, you might be eligible for a scholarship worth over $150,000 toward fully paid tuition, $1,280 monthly stipend, required books, lab equipment, and student fees. Minimum requirements are US citizenship, good health, and a GPA of 3.0 or better. Scholarship students serve one year of active duty for each year of scholarship participation. Additional benefits are the honor of serving your country, not worrying about HMO's, liability insurance, overhead costs, staffing issues, or equipment to purchase.  "Pure patient care without the hassles"!

Note: scholarships are increasingly available for additional healthcare careers beyond Dental, Medical, Optometry; inquire with the specific service recruiter for details, or attend recruiter visits to our campus (which are announced on the Healthcare Events Calendar).
