Physical Education Major, Healthcare-Science Emphasis

Recommended for students seeking rigorous course of study in mathematics and physical science related to Healthcare, particularly if graduate education is desired.  The honors version of any course may be substituted. 

Required Units (crs.):  82 minimum

Required courses: In addition to the required Kinesiology & Health Core Courses (16 units (crs.)), Healthcare-Science Emphasis students take:

• Kinesiology 351, 368, 375 (7 cr)
• Kinesiology 446 or 468 or 474  or Interdisiplinary Studies 367 or 399 (Senior Capstone- 3 cr)
• One of the two following options

1.At least 5 credits from Kinesiology 171, 173, 352, 373, 374
and 10 credits from additional courses in the previous list and
Physics 107, 108; Biology 306, 308, 316, 319, 340;
Psychology 220, 280, 291, 338, 341, 355, 383, 390, 455

2.Complete in Minor in Strength & Conditioning, Wellness Promotion or
Adapted Physcial Education

• Mathematics 171or higher or 204 and 206 (4 cr)
• Psychology 203 or Mathematics 201 or 301 (3 cr)
• Chemistry 105, 106, 235, 335, 303 or 305 (21 cr)

• Biology 105, 112, 230, 323 (13 cr)
