Many students need to work to remain in college, but also wish to obtain direct patient skills that add value to their Healthcare resumés or are actually required by their desired Healthcare occupations (e.g. Physician Assistant). This page will present options that students may wish to consider during college or in a "super senior" fifth year.
Certified Nursing Assistant: Anyone over 16 may complete a certification course (such as the one offered by our College of Nursing) and go to work assisting patients, for pay, in a variety of settings.
Physician Scribe: Qualified undergraduate students may apply to Physician Scribes for placement in medical facilities in the Appleton, Wisconsin area. This program originated in Texas but in 2007 expanded to the Fox Valley. Read the information on the web site carefully to determine if this is the right job for you.
