Billing and Insurance
Private Insurance
The Student Health Center does not bill insurance. Upon request, we will give you a copy of your receipt with the proper information to enable you to submit your charges to your insurance company for reimbursement.
It is important for you to carry a copy of your health insurance card. Many insurances will only cover the cost of care at specific hospitals/clinics. If you require x-rays or specialty care it is important for you to know where your care will be covered.
If you have additional questions contact: 920-424-2424
Enrollment for Health Wisconsin
E4Health was founded in June 2013, to coordinate statewide outreach and enrollment functions, and facilitate statewide communication about the implementation of the Health Insurance Marketplace in Wisconsin.
E4Health’s website is Wisconsin’s resource clearinghouse for those engaged in:
- building awareness and providing training about the Affordable Care Act’s health insurance reforms, and
- directly assisting and enrolling Wisconsin residents in the state’s new Health Insurance Marketplace, which opens October 1, 2013.
Looking for Insurance?
We recommend that all students have health insurance coverage. If you are not covered by your parents plan or if your plan does not cover you while away at college, UW System has made available a quality, comprehensive plan for you to consider.
