Types of Presentations

Poster

If your poster design is final but just needs fine-tuning, you must submit your design to Julie Thyssen in the Graphics and Presentations Design/Presentations Lab (Polk 5) by no later than April 4, 2014. If you need start-to-finish assistance with your poster design, you must meet with Julie by no later than March 21, 2014. Poster set-up time is on the morning of the event, April 24, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Posters must remain on display for viewing during the duration of the day, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Posters must be removed by 5 p.m. on April 24. 

Posters will be judged from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. To facilitate judging, you or a member of your group must be present for the entire two-hour block.

Visual Art

Visual art (painting, sculpture, etc.) presenters will be assigned an area in Reeve Ballroom 227 to display their work. The visual art set-up time is on the morning of the event, April 24, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Visual art must remain on display for viewing during the duration of the day, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visual art must be removed by 5 p.m. on April 24.

Visual art presentations will be judged from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. To facilitate judging, you or a member of your group must be present for the entire two-hour block.

Visual art presenters should indicate any display needs (such as an easel or table) on the submission form.

In addition, visual art presenters are strongly encouraged to include a poster that describes the creative process.

Oral Presentation

Oral presenters will be assigned a room in Reeve Memorial Union. Please allow 15 minutes (maximum) for the presentation, including Q & A.

Each room will be set up with a head table, tabletop podium and audience seating. Rooms will be equipped with a Windows® laptop and a projection screen for PowerPoint® presentations. All PowerPoint® presentations need to be saved on a USB drive. Call us at (920) 424-3215 if you have special equipment needs.

Oral presentation sessions are held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

On the application form, indicate the presentation time when both you and your sponsoring faculty/adviser can be present, although we cannot guarantee your preferred time.

Artistic Presentation

Presentation methods are at the discretion of the presenter(s). List the presentation type and special needs on the application form so we can assign an appropriate location and help locate necessary equipment.

Please allow 15 minutes (maximum) for artistic presentations, including Q & A.

Artistic presentation sessions are held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. for performing arts (dance, music, drama, etc.). On the application form, indicate the presentation time when both you and your sponsoring faculty/adviser can be present, although we cannot guarantee your preferred time.
