One-Session Wonders

Select Mondays or Thursdays in the Pollock House

Do you need practical, research-based ideas to invigorate your teaching? Try one of the One-Session Wonders. These interactive, one-hour or less sessions take place in the Pollock House. Registration is required as enrollment is limited to allow personal attention. Find out more and register now.

CETL Book Club - Fall 2014

Select Thursdays in the Pollock House, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. 

The CETL Book Club provides an opportunity for professional development through cross-disciplinary dialogue about provocative issues related to teaching and learning. Find out more & register for the Spring 2014 Book Club here.  

Best Practice Certification 

By attending all required sessions in a series and documenting the enhancements to student learning that result, faculty selected to participate can earn stipends. Find out more about Best Practice Certification.

SOTL Mentor Program

In this year-long program, faculty and instructional academic staff with Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL) experience are paired with participants new to SoTL for dialogue related to scholarly investigation of teaching and learning. Discover more about the SOTL Mentor Program.

SOTL Pilot Projects Program

Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL) Pilot Project grants are designed to encourage those interested in SOTL to address a teaching and learning challenge, and expand their SOTL research experience by completing a project to present to the UW Oshkosh teaching community. Learn more about SOTL Pilot Projects.

SOTL Scholars Showcase

This showcase of SOTL accomplishments at UW Oshkosh includes poster presentations and the opportunity for conversation with scholars about their work. The work presented at this showcase is the result of the SOTL Pilot Project program. 

Senior SOTL Scholar Learning Community Program

A learning community of senior SOTL scholars are selected to design a teaching 
and learning inquiry related to a specific area.  This program is offered when projects are identified and funding is available.  Learn more about Senior SOTL Scholar Learning Community. 

Provost's Teaching and Learning Summit

The Provost's Teaching and Learning Summit is a full week in the semester packed with programming, dialogues, panel discussions, and opportunities for improving teaching and student learning at UW Oshkosh. Fall 2014 information coming soon!

Wisconsin Teaching Fellows & Scholars Program

Each participant in this UW System program undertakes a significant SoTL project, records the project’s progress on an electronic poster, and disseminates the results in public forums. Participants in the WTFS Program should be familiar with Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) research. Teaching Fellows and Scholars are expected to serve as leaders and mentors in campus and UW System SoTL work. Attendance at OPID-sponsored events and completion and presentation of a SoTL project are required. Look for more information and the application deadline in the fall.
