Introduction to the University Studies Program: August 19 & 20
These sessions are designed to introduce newly hired UW Oshkosh instructors to the University Studies Program. (Current instructors who will be teaching USP courses and who were unable to attend earlier professional development are also encouraged to attend.) This two-day series will provide an overview of our new general education program and workshops on the Signature Questions each student will explore in their first-and second-year USP courses.

Based on the course(s) they will be teaching, participants will choose one of the three Signature Question Dialogue sessions to attend. Sessions will be running concurrently. Lunch will be provided during this day of dialogue, collaboration, and investigation of Signature Question content. The three Signature Questions are:
- How do people understand and create a more sustainable world? (Essential Learning Outcome: Sustainability)
- How do people understand and engage in community life? (Essential Learning Outcome: Civic Learning)
- How do people understand and bridge cultural differences? (Essential Learning Outcome: Intercultural Knowledge and Competence)
