Praise for Book Club
Wouldn't it be nice if we could get together with a small group of friends once in a while and talk about what really matters—our teaching? That's the Book Club—a chance to read a book with profound ideas about teaching and learning, and then talk about it with other people who share our struggles. What a great way to spend a few hours. ~Bill Wresch, Associate Dean, COB
The CETL Book Club was a great experience. It provided intellectual stimulus and personal interactions within a group context—the true benefit is in the reflection and interaction with a strong diversity of perspectives. Truly an engaging experience! ~Steve Dunn, COB
The willingness of faculty to engage the ideas of this book demonstrates their professionalism and desire to continuously develop new skills and knowledge. ~Anonymous
A great opportunity to get out of our nooks & silos and reconnect with colleagues across the community in live, face-to-face conversation—something we all need more of! ~Al Lareau, Foreign Languages & Literature
I though this was a wonderful experience because it started an interdisciplinary, cross-department conversation! ~Michelle Mouton, History
It’s a great opportunity to intellectually engage with a diverse group of folks from around the University. ~Anonymous
