Extramural Grant Awards

Research opportunities allow faculty and academic staff to grow professionally. Such opportunities in turn benefit UW Oshkosh students by improving the quality of their academic experiences and by providing opportunities for faculty/student collaborative research. The following grants are listed by project director(s). Projects listed received funding for $5,000 or more.

Extramural Grants 2009-2010

Grants totaled $14.46 million in fiscal year 2009-2010, including UW System grants and sub-awards and federal and non-federal grants. Student financial aid is not included.

Grants totaled $12.39 million in fiscal year 2008-2009, including UW System grants and sub-awards and federal and non-federal grants. Student financial aid is not included.

Grants totaled $13.06 million in fiscal year 2007-2008 (includes UW System grants and sub-awards, federal and non-federal grants; student financial aid is not included).

Grants totaled $10.1 million in fiscal year 2006-2007 (includes UW System grants and sub-awards, federal and non-federal grants; student financial aid is not included).

Grants totaled $13,832,933 in fiscal year 2005-2006 (includes UW System, federal and non-federal grants; student financial aid is not included).

 

Extramural Grants 2004-2005

Since fiscal year 2000-2001, grant activity levels have increased by nearly 219 percent, from $3,657,419 to $11,659,094 in fiscal year 2004-2005. 

 

Extramural Grants 2003-2004

Since fiscal year 2000-2001, grant activity levels have increased by nearly 183 percent, from $3,657,419 to $10,328,314 in fiscal year 2003-2004.

You might want to think twice if you typically pass on the cranberries at Thanksgiving. While they may be a long way from zeroing in on the smoking gun, a University of Wisconsin Oshkosh student and faculty research collaboration is on the hunt for compounds with antiviral activity in cranberries, other Wisconsin fruits and juices and some more exotic varieties.
