University E-mail (TitanMail)

University Use of E-mail

E-mail is considered an official method for communicating with UW Oshkosh students (effective November 7, 2002). The University may send communications to students via e-mail, and students are therefore responsible for the consequences of not reading University-related communications sent to their official UW Oshkosh student e-mail account. It is recommended that students check their University e-mail account at least twice a week.

All graduate students, upon admission to a graduate program, are assigned a free UW Oshkosh student e-mail account.

Accessing University E-mail via TitanMail

  • Go to the University’s homepage, www.uwosh.edu.

  • Use the “Titan Services” drop-down menu on the top right of the page and click on the “TitanMail” link.

Logging in

  • Your username will be the first five letters of your last name, the first letter of your first name, and the last two digits of your seven-digit student ID number. (Example: anderm89).

  • As a first time user you must change your password before continuing. To do this, click the “change password” link on the login screen. Your default password is set to your seven-digit student ID number.

  • Once you’ve logged in, you will be able to view all of the e-mail messages that are in your “new mail” folder. Messages will remain in this folder until they are either deleted or moved into a different folder by the user.

Redirecting E-mail

Students may elect to redirect (autoforward) messages sent to their UW Oshkosh official student e-mail account to a non-University account (i.e. AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.). Having e-mail lost as a result of redirection does not absolve a student from the responsibilities associated with communication sent to his or her official e-mail account. The University is not responsible for the handling of e-mail by outside vendors or unofficial servers.

More Information:

  • If you have difficulties logging in, please call the UW Oshkosh Academic Computing Help Desk at (920) 424-3020.
