NURSING 718: Clinical Management and Pharmacology III

This is the third of three sequential courses on clinical management for the family nurse practitioner that continues a holistic approach to advanced primary health care acknowledging age, gender, sexuality, cultural heritage, family and community needs. Students continue to expand their knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and their critical thinking processes. Students discuss natural/alternative health care and pharmacotherapeutics, as well as diagnostic and educative management strategies and outcome criteria appropriate for clients with commonly encountered acute and chronic conditions of the psychological, neurological, musculoskeletal systems as well as pain management, addiction and other selected topics.


Nursing 717 and 727.
Corequisite: Nursing 728.
