MPA 751: Program Evaluation

This course is designed to achieve four primary learning objectives: (1) to develop proficiency with processes and methods associated with evaluation research; (2) to become familiar with major evaluation models, involving needs assessments, process studies, impact analysis and cost-benefit analysis; (3) to acquire a more sophisticated understanding of the role of evaluation research in public and nonprofit agencies; and (4) to apply the major theories, concepts and methods in developing an evaluation report either case studies or through a workshop format with a formal report produced and presented to a real-life client.
MPA 732 or Instructor Consent.
