PSYCH 780: Seminar in Social Psychology

This seminar deals with classic and current theoretical issues and research findings in social psychology. Examines research in attitudes and behavior, personal perception, cognitive dissonance theory, attribution theory, social comparison, social influence, affiliation, conformity, social learning theory, theories of emotion and theories of aggression. Emphasizes methodology, including issues in measurement, casual inference and external validity. Also includes some areas of applied social psychology, e.g., psychology and the law.
Admission to the MS Psychology Program or Instructor Consent.
