ELEM ED 611: Early Childhood Education

Designed to study the major early childhood theories and programs in the field and the various types of families and children served by these programs. The course focuses on analysis of teaching practices, current trends and decision-making in early childhood education. Students will engage in action research connecting theory to practice. Students will participate in professional/advocacy activities both for personal and professional growth for the benefit of children and families.
Educational Foundations 235 or consent of instructor.
