Admission to a Degree Program: U.S. Citizen
Applying to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is a milestone in your journey to a passion in your own professional endeavors.
The first step in the application process is to complete an application for admission online. A $56 non-refundable application fee is required.
While completing the electronic application, be certain to identify three (3) references (relatives are not acceptable academic/ professional references) who can assess the ability of the applicant to do graduate work.
While identifying the references, be sure to:
- provide complete name and contact information
- consult with the specific program in which you are seeking admission to verify whether they have different reference requirements.
The Office of Graduate Studies will notify an applicant's references that they are to provide a letter in support of tan applicant's admission. Letters can also be sent separately by the references directly to the Office of Graduate Studies. If an applicant submits letters directly th the Office of Graduate Studies, the letters must be in envelopes sealed by the reference(s).
Some programs have different reference requirements. Please check the program's admission instructions first for specific reference requirements.
Have all official transcripts sent directly to the Office of Graduate Studies. Copies "issued to student" are not considered official. UW Oshkosh students and alumni: you do not need to provide an official copy of your transcript.

If applying for admission to the MBA degree program, submit official GMAT or GRE scores. Please contact the MBA program office for more information.
MA English, MS Psychology & MS Biology Applicants
If applying to the MA English, MS Psychology or MS Biology programs, submit official GRE scores.
MSE Professional Counseling Applicants
If applying to the MSE Professional Counseling program, submit official MAT scores.
