Cognitive/Affective Psychology
The following is admission information specific to the cognitive/affective psychology graduate program at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. If interested in additional program information, visit the cognitive/affective psychology graduate program website.
Admission Deadline
Applications for the fall semester are due by the preceding June 1. Applications received by the preceding March 1 will be given priority consideration for a graduate assistantship. A new cohort begins each fall; a spring cohort is not available.
Application Requirements
Individuals interested in applying for UW Oshkosh’s cognitive/affective psychology program must complete the following requirements and mail all materials to the Office of Graduate Studies.

Complete online application for admission.

Submit three letters of recommendation.

Have official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions you attended sent to the address below.

Write and submit a personal statement (two to three typed pages) describing reasons for wanting to attend UW Oshkosh and your areas of research interest. Of particular interest are details about research experience including class projects, presentations, etc.

Submit scores for the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Have scores sent to UW Oshkosh (institution code: 1916). UW Oshkosh alumni are eligible for a discount on the Kaplan GRE Test Prep.

Students interested in graduate assistantships can complete the online application form.
