Admission to a Degree Program - Domestic Applicant

The applicant should complete an application for admission on-line. A $56 application fee (non-refundable; cannot be waived) is required.

Have all official transcripts sent directly to The Office of Graduate Studies. Copies "issued to student" are not considered official. If an applicant is a current or former UW Oshkosh graduate or undergraduate student, he/she does not need to provide an official UW Oshkosh transcript.

Identify in the electronic application three (3) references (relatives are not acceptable academic/professional references) who can assess the ability of the applicant to do graduate work. Be sure to provide complete name and contact information. The Graduate Studies Office will notify an applicant's references that the reference is to provide a letter in support of an applicant's admission. Letters can also be sent separately by the references directly to the Graduate Studies Office. If an applicant submits letters directly to the Graduate Studies Office the letters must be in envelopes sealed by the references. NOTE: Some programs have different reference requirements. Please check the program's admission instructions first for specific reference requirements.

If applying to the MBA degree program, submit official GMAT or GRE scores. Please contact the MBA program office for more information.

If applying to the MA English, MS Psychology or MS Biology programs, submit official GRE scores.

If applying to the MSE Professional Counseling program submit official MAT scores.

A number of programs have additional or other admission and requirements. Please consult this page of program requirements and deadlines or refer to the appropriate program section in the Graduate Bulletin.
