Meet the USP Council

The USP Council is comprised of members of the UW Oshkosh campus community who are supporting the early implementation of this new general education program (2012–2014). In the next several USP Updates, we will continue to introduce members of this collaborative team.

Samantha Looker, Quest Writing Coordinator

Sam Looker is an assistant professor in English and directs the Writing-Based Inquiry Seminar (WBIS) program, which forms the Writing component of the Quest phase of the USP. Sam works to ensure that students in the first year of their USP experience develop foundations of written communication that will serve them throughout their university education. She helps to facilitate communication and integration between the USP and WBIS programs, coordinate USP-related professional development for WBIS instructors, and oversee integration of USP learning outcomes within individual WBIS sections.
