Spring 2013 STEM Best Practices in Gateway Courses
Session times will be set based on participant schedules. Participants will receive a stipend.

This Best Practices Certification will focus on high impact practices in STEM gateway courses. Five one-hour sessions will include the following topics:
- Designing engaging courses.
- Using active learning in large classes.
- Increasing retention through community building.
- Creating effective “homework."
- Sharing course innovations.
Sessions will be facilitated by a variety of faculty from COLS.
