Lucidchart a new chart, diagram development tool now available in Titan Apps

University of Wisconsin Oshkosh students, staff and faculty now have another resource in their TitanApps toolkit designed to help anyone produce and share flowcharts, diagrams, floor plans, website wireframes and more.

Lucidchart, a free web application, or “app,” available to the University, is now integrated into TitanApps. Just click the grid symbol next to your login identity in the upper-right-hand corner of the screen in Titan Apps. Then click “More” to reveal an icon that launches the tool. After the first launch Lucidchart Diagram will be an option as part of the Create button.

Lucidchart has a number of easy-to-use features that also will help University community members collaborate on projects. They include, but are not limited to:

  • “Drag-and-drop” functionality, making it easy for anybody to quickly get comfortable using the app to flow in content, select and morph preset shapes and designs and ultimately develop the materials they need.
  • UW Oshkosh community members can collaborate on projects whether they are on or off campus – in the office or at home.
  • Revision history, which allows users to see a log of how a document or project has changed over time. This feature also allows users to revert back to previous versions of a project.
  • Chat features, which allow collaborators to remotely work together in real time on projects.

Information Technology will continue to help get the word out about Lucidchart this semester. Meanwhile, anyone with questions about how to access the app should feel free to call (920) 424–3020, email helpdesk@uwosh.edu, or go to Dempsey Hall room 207 for support.

UW Oshkosh’s Office of Integrated Marketing and Communication (IMC) and Instructional Resource Center (IRC) remain available to help individuals, colleges, departments and divisions develop quality, professional graphics, presentations and other designed projects as needs arise.

IMC project requests can be submitted at the department’s website. Visit the IRC online for contacts and assistance.
