NEXT-GEN NURSING:
New tech investments prepare healthcare workforce of the future

Now more than ever nursing students at UW Oshkosh have opportunities to prepare for healthcare environments of tomorrow with the top technology of today. Both undergraduate and graduate students for years have gained hands-on experience in the Simulation Training Center. But recent investments in new technology—including virtual reality—have expanded what’s possible in nursing simulation.

“Among many achievements, we celebrate the five-year accreditation of our simulation training center by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, an international body that accredits medical simulation centers around the globe, in recognition of excellence in teaching and education. UW Oshkosh is believed to be the only nursing school in Wisconsin with this distinction.”
