Program Objectives
 
  • Develop an understanding of the lives and the natural and social contexts of people living in other countries and cultures.
  • Learn how to actively promote and participate in immer­sion experiences in other countries.
  • Explore interactions and connections among nations.
  • Develop awareness of political, economic, scientific, edu­cational, and cultural interdependence, that exist across national and cultural borders.
  • Analyze the complexity of the world’s people, including their differences, similarities, conflicts, and connections.
  • Learn how to infuse global perspectives into curriculum and program planning.
  • Learn strategies of how to teach global citizenship.
  • Develop an awareness of the nature, structure, and context of various educational systems.
  • Acquire research skills to investigate and explore global challenges.
