Projects

Researches, plans, and coordinates forums to get campus community input on issues related to the Ten Year Plan, e.g. Alternative Work Arrangements (Domestic Partner Benefits, Stopping the Tenure Clock, Job Sharing, Part time Tenured Faculty Status, the New Gender Gap).

Works on ad hoc projects undertaken to fulfill specific goals of the Ten Year Plan, e.g. researching and coordinating sexual harassment/relationship violence prevention training for students, researching current practices and coordinating faculty college on curriculum infusion (of diversity and equity information), researching and coordinating safety training for staff and students.

Policies

Research campus policies related to equity and diversity, help to disseminate equity and diversity policy information to the campus community, and recommend changes in policies that will serve to advance equity and diversity to campus administration.

Women’s Center Advisory Board

Serve in an advisory capacity in assisting the Women’s Center to help accomplish the mission of the GEC – providing meaningful programs and activities that address women’s issues and enhance the campus climate for equity and diversity.

Communications

Works directly with Jeannette DeDiemar, Integrated Marketing Team, to facilitate a proactive role for the GEC, develop a protocol for action, especially for crisis issues, and raise visibility.
