Currently a member of the staff in the University Parking office, Malissa has had a rich career on campus, having also served as a staff member in Reeve and the College of Education. She has established a reputation as a willing collaborator in special projects and a leader among her peers. She serves on the Facilities committee, the Classified Staff Appreciation Day committee, and has been on several search and screen committees for the university. Her work as a Cub Scout den leader and as a member of Relay for Life has served her community well. Her nominator said, “Malissa is a joy to work with and she is what the Celebration of Women is all about.”

In her role as an Outreach Program Manager in the office of Continuing Education, Jenni has proven herself a leader again and again. One of her nominators refers to her as a “Wise risk taker who isn’t afraid to step forward into leadership.” She is currently a member of the UWO Senate of the Academic Staff, the UW Extension Systemwide Council, the Grand Opera House Facilities Advisory Council, the Wisconsin Campus Compact Advisory Committee, and the Oshkosh Unite Way Committee. Jenni is truly committed to the goals, values, and mission of UW Oshkosh, and a true leader in the community.

Her amazing career at UW Oshkosh has made her one of this campus’ most valuable assets. Rosemary’s devotion to the College of Nursing has led it to being a highly regarded preparatory program in the medical profession. She has kept the nursing students on the front line of technical information, but has also insisted they encompass the interpersonal skills necessary for success. Her vision for the future has led our university to collaborative efforts towards the Clinical Doctorate in Nursing, to the Accelerated online Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and the Center for Nursing Innovation. She has also been deeply involved in health care for all members of our community, providing care at clinics throughout the area. The true spirit of nursing and of professional excellence abide in Rosemary Smith at all times.

Rosa has distinguished herself as a very noteworthy member of the UWO community. Her leadership as a student has been remarkable: she has passionately committed herself to diversity through her work with Multicultural Preview Day events, the Student Organization of Latinos, Hispanic Heritage Month event planning, and the recent Diversity and Leadership Conference. She has reached out into the Oshkosh community in many ways, including being a volunteer with The Boys and Girls Club. One of her nominators called her a “remarkable young woman, one of the finest students I have ever worked with on this campus.”
