Year-end gift information

The tax year ends at midnight on December 31. Timing your gift at year-end can be crucial. The gift date—the date used for tax purposes—is the day you transfer control of the asset. And that depends on the asset and your method of giving.

We recommend that calendar year-end gifts be made online at the authorized, secure UW Oshkosh Foundation site to assure tax deductible credit for the donation for the current year. The online giving site can be found at:

Please read the following information to further assist you with your year-end giving to the Foundation, and if you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to contact us by email at or by phone at (920) 424-2178 (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday).

Please note that the Foundation is closed December 23-25 and December 30-January 1.
