Year-end gift information

The 2012 tax year ends at midnight on Monday, December 31. Timing your gift at year-end can be crucial. The gift date—the date used for tax purposes—is the day you transfer control of the asset. And that depends on the asset and your method of giving.

We recommend that calendar year-end gifts be made online at the authorized, secure UW Oshkosh Foundation site to assure tax deductible credit for the donation for 2012. The online giving site can be found at: http://www.uwosh.edu/foundation/support-uw-oshkosh/online-giving
