Sustainability Remains at Forefront of UWO's Initiatives

Filed under:
The University's latest renewable energy project is nearing completion. Ribbon cutting for the UW Oshkosh Biodigester at Rosendale Dairy will be held on December 11.

The project is a collaboration with Milk Source, Soil Net, Alliant Energy, Infinity Lawn and Garden, BIOFerm Energy Systems and its parent company, the Viessmann Group. The University will expand student learning and community outreach through environmental and biosolids research and renewable energy production. This large-scale facility located at Milk Source's Rosendale Dairy, Wisconsin's largest dairy farm, will produce seven times more energy than the existing UW Oshkosh dry-fermentation facility, opened in 2011.
