Foundation offers loans to faculty-staff
The program is again aimed at assisting UW Oshkosh employees who are still struggling with current financial conditions and the lagging economic recovery. The program is not anticipated to be offered beyond this year.
The program will allow permanent employees with contracts at .50 FTE and greater to secure a no-interest loan not exceeding $1,000. The loans will need to be repaid over 10 months via payroll deduction. The payback period begins February 2013 and ends November 2013.
The Foundation is a separate and distinct legal entity from UW Oshkosh and qualifies as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization under the United States Internal Revenue Code.
Applications for the loan program will be accepted through Dec. 28, 2012.
The loan application can be found on the UW Oshkosh Foundation website. Applications are also available at the UW Oshkosh Foundation office located in the Oviatt House.
