The Ellie Maslowski Memorial University Staff Scholarship will be awarded to University staff (formerly classified staff) members who are pursuing a degree or certificate at UW Oshkosh. Maslowski helped create the Classified Staff Advisory Council in 2001.

This scholarship honors the memory of a compassionate student with dreams of teaching third graders. During her two years at UW Oshkosh, Lina Vergara was active in residence hall government and service organizations. An elementary education student with majors in bilingual education and English as a Second Language, she had aspirations of teaching third grade following her graduation.
