The UW Oshkosh Foundation held its 10th-annual Community Breakfast and report to the community to celebrate collaborations that help advance UW Oshkosh Sept. 18.
Dr. Joan Simmons, Ph.D., a senior faculty member in the College of Education and Human Services (COEHS), passed away unexpectedly in January 2015, after a brief illness. A scholarship for a candidate or current graduate student (full- or part-time), for licensure, a certificate or master’s degree in Literacy and Language has been established in her memory.
University of Wisconsin Oshkosh junior and first-generation college student Aleksandra Kubas received the 2015 Golden Titan Endowed Scholarship on May 16, as part of the Class of 1965’s 50th-anniversary celebration.
Stan Talerk majored in elementary education and worked with children from kindergarten through 12th grade for more than 30 years. After retiring, he decided to establish the Talarek Family Scholarship at UW Oshkosh in memory of his parents, Sigmund and Johanna Witczak Talarek.
