Beginning Language and Structure
Russian 110: Introduction to Russian I
This is a four-credit course which introduces students to the land and the people through language study in a cultural context. The four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking treated with equal attention using a text supplemented with audio and visual materials relevant to the language and culture. Weekly attendance in the language lab is required as an integral part of the course.
Russian 111: Introduction to Russian II
This is a four-credit course which continues the introduction to the land and the people through language study in a cultural context. The four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking treated with equal attention using a text supplemented with audio and visual materials relevant to the language and culture. Weekly attendance in the language lab is required as an integral part of the course.
Prerequisite: Russian 111.

Intermediate Language and Structure
Russian 203: Intermediate Structure and Expression
This is a three- to four-credit course, which is a structural review, development of speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Will count toward the Bachelor of Arts language requirement.
Prerequisite: Russian 111.
Russian 204: Russian Intermediate Reading
This is a three- to four-credit course, which is places more emphasis on reading and discussion of selected works of authors and/or materials of current interest. Will count toward fulfillment of the Bachelor of Arts language requirement.
Prerequisite: Russian 203.
