Retro-Credits

Retro-Credits

  • Students with prior foreign language training are eligible to earn up to 14 retroactive units (credits), shown in parentheses, by successfully completing one of the following courses with a grade of B or better: 111 (4), 203 (8), 204 (11), 300 level (14).
  • Be aware that in order to be eligible for retrocredits, you must earn a B or higher in the course you have placed into. No one may earn more than 14 retrocredits.
  • You should also be aware that the policies for Retro-Credits for specific courses varies from language division to language division.  You should consult your instructor or the Academic Program Assistant, Kathy Lutzke, the DFLL Program Assistant, in Radford 315 to be certain which courses may be applied.
  • Students should apply for retrocredits after grades are submitted in the Department of Foreign Languages and LIteratures office, Radford 315, with Ms. Kathy Lutzke, during regular business hours (7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday).
  • Again, please see your adviser for the complete policy on retrocredits.
  • Consult Department Chair.
