Our taiko group participated in a cultural enrichment event organized by the Multicultural Education Coalition (MEC), namely, "Holidays Around the World," on Tuesday, December 2. We performed three songs and gave a bilingual presentation.

Our taiko group performed at the 2014-2015 Salary Assistance Grant Award Ceremony that took place during the 10th Annual Provost's Teaching and Learning Summit Opening Reception in the Reeve Union Ballroom on Monday, October 27 at 4:30. We performed "Summer Festival."
Our taiko group participated in Multicultural Night at Oshkosh West High School on Friday, May 9. We performed two songs.
The seventh Japanese Taiko Hour in Spring 2014 was held in Albee 201 on Friday, April 11, 2014. As part of UWO Japan Week during Asian Heritage Month, this gathering was open to public.
Our taiko group participated in Oaklawn Diversity Night at Oaklawn Elementary School on Friday, April 4. We performed four songs and gave bilingual presentations.

Our taiko group participated in a MEC-sponsored cultural event, namely, 2013 Holidays Around the World, on Tuesday, December 3. In front of more than 100 audiences, we performed three songs and gave bilingual presentations.
As part of 2013 International Education Week, we had a taiko drumming event in Reeve Union Titan Underground on Friday, November 15, 2013. This was a public event and approximately 40 people came to enjoy taiko drumming.
The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures hosted the annual student award ceremony on Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Pollock Alumni House. While a Japanese Studies major, Ms. Catherine Wrucke, was awarded a book prize for her excellent academic achievement, four students from the first-year Japanese gave a bilingual presentation on taiko accompanied by a performance.
As the last event of 2013 Japan Week (April 8 to 12), a special taiko gathering was held in Albee Hall 201 on Friday, April 12, 2013. This was a public event and 20 students participated.
