Use of 14-Passenger Busses
As of July 1, 2002, individuals requesting to drive a 14-passenger bus must be at least 25 years of age and have completed a Van Driver Training Class.
Training consists of an all day class, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A true/false test will be given at the end of the classroom session. It must be passed before the driver can participate in the behind-the-wheel part of the training.
The class is held in the Green/Jefferson conference room at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation District 1 office located at 2101 Wright Street, Madison, WI. Eight students must be registered and confirmed in order for a scheduled class to be held. Applications must be submitted with payment of approximately $118.00. A confirmation letter will be sent to participants at least one week before the scheduled class.

Once the driver training class is completed successfully, submit a copy of the driver certificate to fleet vehicles at UW Oshkosh. Your name will then be added to the authorized driver list.
