Stafford Loans Processing
First time Stafford (Subsidized and Unsubsidized) borrowers must complete Entrance Loan Counseling and Master Promissory Note (MPN).

Loans cannot be disbursed unless both steps are completed!
The Stafford borrowers must be awarded a Stafford loan on his/her financial aid award. The borrower must accept the Stafford loan online through TitanWeb.
STEP #1: Entrance Loan Counseling
Carefully read these instructions prior to clicking on the counseling link.
- Click here to start counseling (will open a new window).
- Register for an account by clicking on Create an account link.
- Complete loan counseling (approximately 30 minutes).
- Close the window to return to this page.
STEP #2: Master Promissory Note (MPN)
The online MPN must be completed in a single session. Be sure you have enough time before you start this step! The online MPN will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Collect all required information prior to starting the process. If you exit the online MPN before submitting, you will have to start from the beginning when you return to the site.
Required Information:
- Social Security Number (SSN)
- Driver's license (if applicable)
- Email address (to receive email confirmation)
- Complete address and phone number
- Two personal references including their name, complete address, and phone number
- First reference must be a parent
- Department of Education PIN (to electronically sign MPN).
