Student Employment Appreciation Week
Each year, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh recognizes student employees and their importance in the life of our University during National Student Employment Week. Employment for students offers many opportunities including development of organizational skills, career-building experiences, and better preparation for the world job market.
Motivation for most of our students is a financial need to support their education. Students are able to assist themselves, thus reducing the burden of debt common with graduates today.
Students perform invaluable services for our offices with great dedication. As employers, we depend on their reliable contributions which assist us in creating an efficient campus-wide community.
It is by Proclamation from the Office of the Chancellor, that the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh set aside the week of April 12-18, 2009 as Student Employment Appreciation Week. The week is set aside to draw attention to the contribution made by our students and the various roles they perform daily. Employers are encouraged to use this week as an opportunity to appreciate, encourage, inspire, and do something special for their student employees.
Please let your student employees know they are valued by recognizing them during Student Employment Appreciation Week!
