Students who wish to take classes during the summer term can apply for financial aid. Typically summer financial aid forms are available in April.

In order to receive the aid, the students must:

What financial aid is available for summer school?

Students are eligible for the Federal Direct Loans (Stafford Loans). The amount that is borrowed in the summer counts towards the total amount of Stafford Loan eligibility for the academic year.

If you are eligible for a Pell Grant, you may be able to receive one for summer classes.

Do I need to be enrolled for summer courses before I apply for summer financial aid?

Yes. If you are not enrolled and you submit the UW Oshkosh request for summer financial aid form, we will not be able to award you aid for the summer until you are enrolled.
