A.D. (1988) A 6-hour video, adapted by Gospel Films from a Proctor & Gamble Production mini-series, on the story of Christianity from the death of Jesus through the deaths of Peter and Paul in Rome. An all-star cast, including James Mason and John Houseman, seeks to portray, in exquisite detail, how Peter and Paul interacted and how Rome reacted. While helpful in understanding the basic forces at play, it is difficult for an historian to distinguish between fact, fiction, and supposition, since available information on this period is sparse.
