Churchill: The Finest Hours

Churchill: The Finest Hours (1998) This Academy Award nominee documentary is a rousing tribute to one of the most extraordinary personalities of the 20th century. Narrated by Orson Welles, we are taken on a nearly two-hour journey through the world and history that Churchill experienced and, not infrequently, shaped. Great men often have monumental weaknesses, but these are ignored in this rightful glorification of Churchill’s magnificence. His finest hour was leading an imperiled island to ultimate victory in an Anglo-American (and Soviet) alliance against Hitler. In his spare time, Churchill won the Nobel Prize for Literature.
