Moyers on Dying: On Our Own Terms

Moyers on Dying: On Our Own Terms (2000) I consider this among Bill Moyers' greatest legacies, surpassed only by Joseph Campbell and The Power of Myth with Bill Moyers At a time when the right to die and the manner of dying are heated political and medical issues, Moyers’ sensitive investigative reporting provides a practical base line for those engaged in these debates. By focusing on the personal decisions faced by individuals and families confronting quality-of-life and dying issues, Moyers exposes the individual morality and the public policy considerations that lead to no easy answers. I rank this on a par with Edward R. Murrow's 1960 Harvest of Shame.
