Freud was the father of psychoanalysis who undoubtedly could have used a therapist himself. The video provides a thoroughly engaging tale of the man behind the myth. Freud’s many neuroses are revealed through letters, diary entries and interviews. I enjoyed hearing Freud’s grandchildren dissect his behavior. Students like the segments on his childhood, courtship and experimentation with cocaine. On a more somber note, the last segment of the video recounts the effects of rampant anti-Semitism in the 1930’s on Freud and his family.
