Flanders & Swann (1994)

Flanders & Swann (1994) These eccentric British songwriters gently mock British and American foibles in patter songs that were performed on both sides of the Anglo-American pond. George Bernard Shaw might have characterized them as a vital link between the English and American language. Some of my friends consider a person uneducated who does not know the mud, mud, glorious mud refrain to The Hippopotamus Song. If you enjoy something gnu, you’ll love F&S. More songs, including my favorite, The Reluctant Cannibal, are on 3 CDs.
