Conference Program (updated 11-8-10): We always try to accommodate scheduling requests, but we can adjust the program only so much. Moreover, the F&H conference is known for its collegial spirit. We support each other by participating fully, investing in our colleagues as much as we do in ourselves. We ask that all participants, therefore, attend the full conference.

Banquet Tickets for Participants who are NOT REGISTERED AT THE HYATT : The gourmet dinner at the Film & History conference is always a grand event, prepared especially for our group by the executive chef of the hotel and presented buffet style. Participants who do not book their lodging at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee but who wish to attend the dinner buffet may purchase a ticket for the nominal fee of $20 (which is a fraction of the actual cost per person). You may pay at the time of registration by cash only, or you may pay online by clicking on the link above.

  Presentation Equipment   (for panelists wishing to present audio or video to the audience)

Each room will be equipped with a 27" widescreen iMac computer that has Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows operating systems installed on it.

MS Office 2008 (for Mac) and MS Office 2007 (for Windows) will be available, as well as all video/audio presentation software included in each operating system (e.g., media players native to Mac and Windows).

Bring only your data/audio/video clips--either on CD/DVD or USB flash drive--for instant connection to the computer. You do not need your laptop computer or any adapters.

Because of legal--and thus technological--restrictions imposed on digital devices, only Region 1 DVDs can be played on our equipment. Please bring your clips on a USB flash drive if you do not have a Region 1 DVD.

No VHS equipment will be available. Please transfer any archival VHS material to DVD disc or a USB drive for presentation during the conference.

CONFERENCE REFUND POLICY: Because of contractual commitments to our host site, Film & History must absorb any outstanding costs for the conference, including unfilled rooms at the hotel and service charges through Acteva and any credit card used for the transaction. As the event nears, costs become increasingly difficult to redistribute or negotiate. For these reasons, if you must cancel your registration to the conference before July 31, your fee will be returned minus 15% of your total payment. After July 31, your refund will be reduced by 50%. After September 30, we can no longer refund registration fees.
