Race Format

Distance

The course is approximately 250 meters.  We race on the Fox River from the railroad bridge to the Main Street bridge.

Course

The course is comprised of 4 lanes marked with buoys.  We use a floating start.

Race Format

Each team will race a minimum of three heats throughout the day.  The first two heats will be pre-seeded by our race committee.  The third heat will be seeded during the lunch break.  Additionally, the four top teams in each division will race a fourth heat for the divisional championship.  These teams will be seeded immediately following the third heat.

    Heats 1 & 2
    Based on the combined times of the first TWO rounds we will determine the winners of the Industry Divisions (example Education, Youth, Government).  This time will also be used to seed teams into  divisions (example A, B, C, D). With the fastest times in Division A and the slowest in Division D.

    Heat 3
    The THIRD round will be used to determine the top 4 teams in Divisions A, B, C, D.

    Heat 4
    In the FOURTH round, the top 4 teams in each division will race for the division championships.

    The 3 fastest times from the FOURTH round races will be the Overall Champions, 2nd and 3rd place teams. The three fastest times from Oshkosh teams will win the Community Champions, 2nd, and 3rd place awards.
