Fall Fest Schedule

Friday, Sept. 25

11 a.m. – 3 p.m., Student-Generated Graffiti Art
Express yourself by participating in the Student Generated Graffiti Art show. Students, faculty, staff and visitors are invited to create art by stenciling, painting and doodling on temporary walls erected on the lawn outside Reeve Memorial Union.  You bring your creativity; we'll give you some paint (limited supplies available). The event will be coordinated by Steinhilber gallery staff, and student volunteers.  


3 p.m. – 5 p.m. Inline Skating from the Student Recreation and Wellness Center
Were you ever interested in trying this eco-friendly, fun exercise?  Here’s your chance!  We will outfit you with inline skates, helmets, and pads for free. We’ll map you out a safe and easy route to skate and send you off for some fun and exercise. Skate sizes 7 (w) to 13 (m) available, but in limited quantities. Please register in advance at Xpeditions@uwosh.edu to ensure your size(s) is available.

4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Kayaking Sessions at Student Recreation and Wellness Center
Taking part in the Dragon Boat Races for Fall Fest? Get out on the water with Xpeditions and get your paddling arm ready! We will be hosting a kayaking session to acquaint paddlers with kayaking on the waters of the Fox River. This is a great opportunity to take a short (45 minute) kayak tour and have some fun. We’ll provide the instructor, kayaks, paddles and life jackets (limit 9) at no charge. For more information or to register (required), contact Bruce Coleman at Xpeditions@uwosh.edu. You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in this kayaking event.

4-7 p.m. Fish Fry on the Fox*
This community open house features a buffet dinner, live music, horse-drawn carriage tours of campus and more. Adults, $10; children 3-11, $5; children under 3, free.
UW Oshkosh students can use their meal
plan, or may pay using cash or Titan dollars at a slight discount. Blackhawk Commons.

6–8 p.m. Try Out the Climbing Wall
Everyone and every age is invited to our idea of Mt. Oshkosh inside the Student Recreation and Wellness Center. Our certified staff will do all the belaying and provide all the equipment at no cost. Drop in any time between 6-8 p.m. No reservations necessary. If you have questions, contact Bruce Coleman at Xpeditions.uwosh.edu.

6:30 p.m. Oshkosh Community Dragon Boat Paddle Party  
Join the dragon boat teams for a night of free music, food and fun with Road Trip! Gates open at 6:30 p.m. at the Leach Amphitheater, downtown Oshkosh. Admission to the Paddle Party is free.

6-8:30 p.m. Artist's Talk and Reception 
The Steinhilber Gallery will host an exhibition of art created by UW Oshkosh Alumni. Visit the gallery to see the art and chat with the artists at the opening reception.  Refreshments will be provided.  The gallery is located on the third floor of Reeve Union.

7:00 p.m. Salute to Scholarship
A gathering to recognize freshman scholarship recipients and their families taking place in Reeve Union.


7 and 9:30 p.m. TBA Movie, Reeve Union Theatre
($3 for evening show) Watch the marquees in Reeve Union and Blackhawk for upcoming titles. With stadium seating, surround sound and cheap snacks. (Sponsored by Reeve Union Board)

Saturday, Sept. 26
8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Oshkosh Community Dragon Boat Festival 
The Dragons are back! Watch from the river’s edge as 40-foot-long canoe-like vessels filled with 20 paddlers and a drummer paddle feverishly down the Fox River. A family festival, including hands-on activities for kids, inflatables, music, games and food, helps  make the Oshkosh Community Dragon Boat Festival Oshkosh’s most exciting events of the season.  For more details, visit: www.oshkoshdragonboat.com
Riverside Park and Leach Amphitheater, downtown Oshkosh. Admission to the festival is free.

9 a.m. Parents’ Breakfast with the Chancellor*
Parents of current and prospective UW Oshkosh students will enjoy an old-fashioned country breakfast and ask questions of administrators. Reeve Memorial Union, UW Oshkosh. $7/adult, $6/UWO student, $4.50/child under 12.


12 p.m. Football vs. Ohio Dominican
Come watch the UW Oshkosh Titans at J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium. Adults, $7; seniors, $5; high school students and younger, $3; $1 surcharge added to all tickets.
