Newly elected member of the Oshkosh Area School District Board of Education Tom McDermott (left) appeared on Commentary in March of 2002 to discuss his candidacy. Mr. McDermott won a three-year term in April, finishing as the top vote getter on a platform that emphasized the need for the School District to engage in more rigorous long-term planning
